Favorite Magical Pet
There are a lot of wonderful magical creatures in the Potterverse. Pets that our beloved characters owned include: Arnold the Pigmy Puff by Ginny (which I adore the thought of!), owls galore (Hedwig reigning supreme among them), a skeevy rat I'm sure Ron wished he never laid eyes on, Trevor (Longbottom's flighty toad), Figg's cats, Voldemort's super scary snake Nagini, Hermione's odd cat Crookshanks, Hagrid's brief ownership of a dragon, and many more cats, dogs, and the like. While there are many of them that would be amazing to own myself, I would want Fawkes far more than any other.
Fawkes is magical, loyal, and helps Dumbldore and Harry when they are in dire straits. He's immortal which is my kind of animal. Feeling the sting of loss from a loved pet wouldn't happen with him as he turns to ash and is reborn among them. His tears have healing powers and he's able to teleport wizards and carry large weight. His song is able to give listeners courage and help them remain calm. Yep, I'm fascinated by phoenixes and would absolutely want one as a pet.
